Tonight Bryce and Kaleigh invited us all over to their house for dinner. Marvin and Bryce finished building the fence around their backyard last week, and Bryce has set up a great area arond the fire to hang out. I was trying to take a pictures of the guys all sitting around the campfire. I was standing on the back deck taking the picture, and couldn't really see the guys until the flash went off. Each time I would take a picture, one of them would hold up their arm and flex for the photo. Each time I would just shake my head and try again. The last one I took was this one. Aren't they funny?

We spent some time out at the River Lot today. Faith can be so timid when she is climbing things or playing on a jungle gym, but you put that girl anywhere near water and she is completely fearless! She loves to go for rides on the jetski. You seriously can't go fast enough or hard enough for her. Nathan had her jumping waves and taking fast turns, and she just squealed with excitement the entire time. Later when she went for a ride with her Mamaw she asked, "Can you take me in circles, like Uncle Nathan does?"

We stopped out at Wes and Tara's house tonight to see their new bedroom furniture. While we were there, I, of course, had to get in some quality Faith time. Tara was showing me some beautiful little dresses she got for Faith to take some pictures in this summer. Faith said, "Mommy, I want to put it on and dance in it." Tara told her that dress was not really for playing, but that she could pick another one to dance in. She chose her Snow White dress and cape, and dance in it she did.

This week Tiffany released a ton of new two-page templates in her DHD store. These are great if you have several pictures from an event or just a group of images to work with.
I decided to do a layout with some pictures of Faith playing with her chalk. Journaling reads:
Faith loves to draw with chalk! Every time we are outside at Mamaw’s house, it isn’t very long before she is requesting her bucket of chalk. I think she would draw all day if she could. It’s a fun, carefree activity, and a great way to help her learn her colors.

We stopped and had lunch at Marvin and Jeanie's after church. It's always a treat to see Faith for a little while.

The kids went up front and sang some songs at church this morning for Easter. Faith was so cute! She really does a good job singing and following along with the hand motions.

We did another round of the digital morph over at 2Peas. You can check out the results here:
Digital Morph Group 1
This was my layout for the challenge.
Journaling reads:
Faith is such a good little helper. She loves to be outside, and loves to help Mamaw with chores. One of her favorite activities is helping Mamaw water the hanging plants. She even has her own watering can.

I made this layout as part of the 1 Kit, 4 Ways post for DHD's blog. It's amazing how many looks your can create from this one little mini kit. You can check out the post here: 1 Kit, 4 Ways – Apron Strings Mini Kit
Journaling reads:
I always look forward to days when Wes and Tara call and ask if I can babysit Faith. I have so much fun just chasing her around the house. We pretty much always end up having an impromptu photo session at some point during the day. As long as I provide her with cereal or some type of distraction, she’s usually happy to appease me and my inner shutterbug.

Today Michelle released her new kit called Beautiful Ending.
Here's the layout that I created with it for Faith.
The journaling reads:
Faith sure did look cute as Pebbles for Halloween, and as much as we liked her as a red-head, we were all glad to see her back as the Faithers we know and love.

I got to see Faith for a little bit tonight. She and Mamaw were on their way to go hang out with Aunt Becky, Cousin Katie, and Baby Addy. She was dressed so cute, I just had to take a picture.
Between the tights, boots and hat, she was just too funny. Oh and always with a purse!
Also, be sure to note the Barbie bandaid on her finger. She's a big fan of bandaids these days. She'll come and tell us that she has an owie, and Mamaw will happily oblige with a Barbie bandaid. A few hours later, she'll come and tell us that it is feeling much better and we can take it off.

DHD has decided to release new products on two days a week instead of just one. Which means we all get a *bonus* day of new stuff and sales. All kits are 30% off on the day they release, so be sure to stop over and check out the new releases.

Our talented Digital Guru, Gennifer asked us to put together some layouts using Melissa Esplin's new Psychedelic Circus kit to feature on the DHD blog. This is a very fun kit - with lots of bright colors. Here's what I came up with.
Journaling reads:
On a hot summer day, there’s nothing better than playing with bubbles by the pool. Faith, Malachi, and Eden had a blast with the bubble maker machine, bubble wands, and different bubble blowers. Three cousins plus lots and lots of bubbles makes for a very fun afternoon.

I am super excited about a product that is releasing at 2Peas today. My friend subtle shadows. Shadows can make so much difference in a digital layout, and these are a great way to make adding them to a layout super easy and fast.
I used them on this layout below for Faithers. The papers and elements are all from Michelle's fun kit call Too Trendy.

Happy Halloween!!! We had a wonderful evening, and of course I spent it following Faithers around snapping away. She was sooo cute! This year she was a little police girl.

Tara entered this sweet photo of Faith in the Baby Gap contest. You can vote for her here.
It only takes a minute or two to register, and then you're good to go. You can vote once a day, every day until November 17th. So like people always say vote early and vote often! Thanks!!!

Here is a recent layout that I finished up for Faithers using several new items from my wonderful and talented designers. The word art says, "Play is the exultation of the possible."
For credits and more info, please check the scrapbooking section. I used about 27 different kits on this layout!!! For those of you that don't scrap - just take my word for it when I tell you that is a lot!

Last week I mentioned that my friend Jen started designing some digital scrapbooking templates. Her free templates were such a big hit that 2Peas asked her to come on as one of their designers and sell the templates at their store. So now she's not only a Garden Girl, but she's also a digital designer at 2Peas!
Here's a new layout that I did for Faith using her Simple Start No. 2 template.
Journaling reads:
Sometimes it can be pretty difficult to get you to take a nap when we are all around and when you have so much to get into, but on this particular, hot day at the river lot you just couldn’t fight it once you were all cozy laying on your daddy’s chest.

25 and 365 days... that's how old I am today. As much as I love birthdays, I'm starting to get tired of this whole getting older thing. So to ease my anxiety about turning 26 Nathan said we could start counting my age in days from now on.
Overall, I had a really great day. I took the day off from work, because noone should have to work on their birthdays. I slept in and just took it easy all day. I had lots of cards and birthday wishes! I'm so luck to have such amazing family and friends!!!
So I finally got Faith's gallery all uploaded. Note to self - ask Justin about making a bulk uploader!
Here is the link to the complete gallery:

Today was a pretty good day. This morning Kyla and I went for a run. We did seven miles total, which felt really good.
We had hopes of watching the WVU game in the afternoon, but unfortunately it wasn't televised (which frankly is complete nonsense). But we were able to listen to them win on the radio. Go Mountaineers
After the game, Faithers and I went for a little walk. It actually took quite a bit of time to circle around the block, because we were constantly making pit stops to check out the scenery. At one point she decided to pick up the pace and said, "Let's run." So we ran for like three seconds, and then, breathing heavily, she said, "OK, let's walk..." After she caught her breath, "Let's run." This cycle went on for about 10 minutes, and then she got distracted by something else. She never fails to crack me up! Of course Fun Aunt Lori brought her camera along on the walk, so I have pictures of both the "running" and the "walking" which I plan to scrapbook soon. But for now, here's one of her just walking along with LaLa

This week went by so quickly, that I'm not sure I can even come up with five things for the recap, so instead, I decided to share a couple pictures from Faith's two-year-old session.
Faith has dimples on her shoulders. She's had them since the day she was born. I was trying to get some good shots of them, but I didn't quite get the focus I wanted. I like the shot anyways though...

Tonight we finally got a chance to celebrate Tara's birthday. I say finally because her birthday was actually August 12th, and obviously it is now September. Regardless of when it was though, we all had a good time. Jeanie fixed homemade pizza, and we all just spent the evening hanging out.

This is a layout for Faith. She is in a phase where if we ask we what color something is, regardless of what it is, she will answer pink. If I didn't know better, I would swear that was the only colors she knows.
Journaling reads:
Pretty much from the time you started talking we would constantly ask you, “Faith, what color is this?” It was our attempt to improve your vocabulary and also help teach you your colors. By the time you were around one and a half, you could pretty much tell me the color of every ring in your play set at my house. Today is a different story. I’m not sure what happened between then and now, but nowadays when we ask you what color something is your answer undoubtedly and without hesitation is pink! Maybe it’s because so many of your things are pink and that tended to be the correct answer most of the time. Maybe we have just surrounded you in so much girly, pink stuff you actually only see pink. My guess is you just have your own stubborn way about things and like to say everything is pink. Either way, my sweet girl, I have to tell you that everything in this world is unfortunately not pink!

Today we spent the day at the Beach Waterpark in Cincinatti, Ohio. It was actually a little cool outside and not exactly the perfect weather for a waterpark. Although most of us found the water a little too cold, it didn't seem to bother Faithers at all. She had a blast all day long! She played and rode slides all day. She is such a little water baby; she will jump up and down and completely dunk herself in water - doesn't bother her a bit. There were even some smaller tub rides for the kids that she rode all by herself. I'm still catching up from the busy week, but I hope to have the pictures up in the gallery within a couple of days or so.
Until then, here's one layout that I made of Faith and Papaw from our trip.

This afternoon we drove to Cincinnati and caught the Reds night game. The game was so much fun! The Reds won 1-0. We had awesome seats directly up from the third baseline. We were in the row above the lower section, but before the middle deck where seats can be taken out to accommodate handicapped fans. So basically there were 8 chairs where normally 15 or so. We had tons of room and Faith was free to roam around a bit in our section without bothering anyone else. I got a lot of great pictures from the game that I hope to have up in the gallery shortly, but until then here's one of Faith and Rosie.

Today we celebrated Faith's second birthday. The day was filled with great food, little swimmers, chasing bubbles, hitting pinatas, opening presents, and enjoying little laughs. Faith was dressed like the little princess that she is, and there was no question who the birthday girl was..
