I finished up this scrapbook page for Evan.

Journaling reads:
Uncle Larry and Cousin Lori took Evan down to Tri-C fields for some batting practice. It was a little windy, but still a good day to play ball.

This week Michelle released her new I Heart Spring collection. I just love the fun, bright colors. I can't wait until Spring actually gets here.

In honor of my favorite Little Buddy's birthday this week, I decided to scrapbook an older picture of him.

The journaling reads:
little boys need spring, little boys need sunshine and fresh grass, little boys need to run and play

One of the very cool things about DHD is that we have our own Mansigner (their words, not mine) - Spencer. Spencer is married to the fabulously talented, Jen Allyson. I think it is neat that they get to work on a project like DHD together. Plus, Spencer gives a fun new perspective to digital scrapbooking. Here is a layout I made with some of his new stuff

Journaling reads:
There's nothing quite like a child's imagination. In reality, Evan was just sitting on a plastic truck in the middle of the mall. I'm not even sure we paid the quarter for the thing to shake or move around. None of that matters to a four-year-old little boy though. To him he's in the middle of a wild car chase, having the time of his life!

Here's a recent layout I did for Evan.

Journaling reads:
While Evan was in town visiting, a stray dog showed up in the neighborhood. Pap Bill said they dog’s name must be Midnight because we was all black, and because Pap made a fake, paper collar with the name “Midnight” written on it. Pap and Evan spent the next few days petting and feeding Midnight. I think the whole idea of a stray dog that we knew nothing about made Michelle and Grandma a little nervous, but Pap assured them he was a nice dog – based on the whole eight hours that he had known him. One afternoon Evan and I were sitting out on the front porch, and Evan was calmly petting Midnight, when out of nowhere he said aloud, “Now that is a good dog!” He said it more as an observation to himself than even to me. Our Little Man seems more and more like Pap each and every day.

John, Michelle, and Evan head back to NJ today. So I went out earlier this afternoon to spend a little more time with my favorite Little Man. They spent the day relaxing, watching movies, and gathering up all of their stuff. It can take some time to gather 60 or so little Gormiti men strewn about a house.

He fed the turtle some of the worms he and Uncle Larry had dug up the day before.

Evan loves the river lot. He loves riding the jet ski; he loves cooking things over the fire; and he just loves being outside. He's actually told me before that the river lot is his favorite part of being in West Virginia. So whenever he comes in, we always try to make sure that he gets to spend at least one day out there enjoying all that WV has to offer.

Nathan left for Roanoke today, and I miss him already! The only good thing about today is that I have both of my two favorite little buddies to keep me company. That's right, both of them! Faith's daddy is also playing softball this weekend, so I got to keep Faith all day while her mommy was at work. This also happened to be the weekend that Evan and his family are in for a visit. So I had both of them to hang out with and keep me busy. Talk about cuteness overload... or is it double trouble...

Here's a new layout I did for Evan's album using Carina's new Prep School kit - which is releasing on Tuesday at 2Peas.

Journaling reads:
Pay attention to Pap little man, he will teach you things you never knew you didn't know.

I know I have said it before, but I truly have the greatest group of scrapbooking friends at 2Peas. The digital gals there are amazingly talented, super supportive, and are always coming up with fun, new challenges for us. Recently we decided to do another round of the Digital Morph. Basically it's where we each take turns using the person's layout before as inpiration for a layout of our own. The last couple of rounds we have done a "blind" morph, which is kind of like the telephone game in that you only see the layout of the person before you and noone else's until the very end. It's pretty neat to see how the original layout started and what we ended up with. This time we split into two groups, so the process would go a little faster. It's also interesting to see the different direction each group took. You can see the full morph of both groups here:
Group A
Group B

I was part of Group B, and you can see my layout for the morph below.

Audrey just came out with this new collab kit called Down by the Bay for us to work with this week. The fun colors and papers went great with some of my older pictures of Evan playing at DuPont park.

One of the things that I love about 2Peas is the awesome digital scrapbooking community! I have some really great digi friends there, and they always come up with great challenges for us to all play along with. Recently we did a digial morph scraplift challenge. It's kind of like the telephone game, but with a layout instead of a message. Each person does a layout and then passes it on to the next person in the chain. That next person scraplifts the layout and makes her own version of it, and then passes it on to the next person. You only see your layout and that of the person before you. It's really neat at the end to see how much the layout has changed with each turn. If you want to see the entire chain, you can check it out here.

Below is the layout I did for the morph. For credits and more info, please check the scrapbooking section.
